A bespoke light installation integrated into the museum's architecture
The reopening of Design Museum Danmark marked a significant milestone, with the Kumiko Light Object prominently featured in the grand entrance hall. This mesmerizing installation  illuminates the space and enhances the architectural narrative of the museum, which has undergone a meticulous renovation of its historic 1700s building in Frederiksstaden, Copenhagen.

The light object consists of meticulously hand-assembled layers that allow light to filter through in unexpected ways. As visitors move through the entrance, the object reveals new facets and dimensions, transforming the atmosphere and creating a dynamic interaction with the space. The Kumiko Light Object stands as a testament to the power of art and light to connect people with their surroundings, It encourages visitors to reflect on the relationship between light, space, and form.
