Set against the backdrop of the residency house and the surrounding forest, this exhibition draws on both architecture and nature. The house's unique form and the forest's organic landscape create a dynamic dialogue between the man-made and nature, where each pause holds meaning, merging form and human experience.
This exhibition explores the concept of intervals and pauses—spaces or distances between elements. As these intervals accumulate, they form structures, rhythms, and progressions. The surrounding environment has been examined through the lens of these intervals, found both inside the house and within the forest. Inside the house, intervals are precise and controlled, contributing to a clear spatial experience. In contrast, the forest reveals organic, naturally occurring intervals.
The intervals in the house are mirrored in the ceiling’s design, where a mobile is integrated into the space, activated by the wind moving through the house. In the forest, intervals emerge between the trees, where a space is framed that exists in direct relation to nature and the landscape. This interaction fosters a dialogue between human and nature, emphasizing the preservation of the natural world. Natural elements are employed as collaborators in the creation of the work, offering a concept of space without walls aimed at challenging our preconceived notions of the spaces around us.
