The studio specializes in creating immersive site-specific light installations and objects of art that transcend the boundaries between art and architecture. With a focus on the interplay between light, materiality, and perception, the studio transforms spaces into dynamic environments engaging the senses evoking a deeper awareness of the surroundings

Guided by Lykke’s artistic vision, the studio collaborates with skilled specialists in light, wood, metal, and glass to realize art projects. The workspace is divided into a workshop and an atelier, ensuring a smooth process from concept to completed installation.

Lykke’s work exists within the public realm, with art installations displayed in museums, foundations, and public spaces, as well as at renowned art fairs such as Art Design Miami Basel,  TEFAF and Fog Art. Lykkes works are represented by leading galleries in both Europe and the USA, bridging the gap between art, architecture, and the spaces they inhabit

Site-specific light installations

Site-specific light installations transform the often unseen surfaces of architecture, engaging with the movement of passersby. These works are formed to evolve with the viewer’s changing perspective, offering an ever-shifting experience of space.

Through this interactive relationship between light, material, and space, the installations redefine how the built environment is perceived. By highlighting the often-overlooked elements of a building, they introduce new layers of meaning and bring attention to the transient qualities of space. Each installation fosters a deeper awareness of its surroundings, adding unexpected depth to public environments.

 

Objects of art

The light objects explore the construction of material layers and the interaction of light with handcrafted elements. The interplay between light and material creates a multifaceted play of shadows and reflections, transforming each object into a living part of its surroundings.

Each piece is a unique exploration of light, material, and space, resulting in dynamic objects that evolve within their environment.

 

 

I seek to give the viewer a subtle exploration into light and space. To be present – to see and feel seen, and to become aware that the experience of my light-works is kaleidoscopic – it corresponds to the place in which one is viewing
